Welcome to the Sacred Bones Society Home Page

Between 1947 and 1954, the club had little success in Pennsylvania and attracted little attention.

After WWII, Gramp had a love for motorcycles and riding around. He wasn't particularly fond of traditional clubs, which were heavily political. With all due respect to traditional motorcycle clubs, Sacred Bones MC was created out of our natural individual inability to fit in with traditional motorcycle clubs. After WWII, Gramp had a love for motorcycles and riding around. There wasn't much advertising back then, and what with the internet; especially since this type of club didn't really get much recognition. Since the club didn't grow very big, it was just him and a few of his friends. After about 1954, Grandpa couldn't travel much, and the club slowly faded away, becoming inactive. Grandpa passed the club on to his son (my dad) Clyde in 1954. Clyde was a Marine, a scout, in the war in Korean. Clyde also loved motorcycles and riding, but was not part of the groups. Grandpa's friends also did not ride like they were supposed to anymore. Clyde did not do much for the club. In 1958, Clyde moved to California. Back in Pennsylvania, the previous members of Grandpa's disappeared and/or died.

In 1978 I inherited the club; I redesigned the patch, but shortly after I joined the army, a few of my "military" friends were riding and partying together, forming the Sacred Bones again, but now we were the "Sacred Bones Society". Due to my military commitments, overseas time and travel on assignments, the club became international. In my 20 years of service I did not keep records very well during those times, so there are members I have no information about. In 1998 I left the military; now without my military buddies around, I initially rode with an established club, but again due to a natural individual inability to conform to traditional biker club rules. I decided to honor my grandfather's legacy and re-establish the Sacred Bones Society MC in California. And yes, this will be the last patch I wear.
We are a brotherhood of freedom riders on two wheels, freedom of choice. We do not "want to be" a "traditional M/C". Through our non-political, non-traditional ways, our regular members ride free from the typical politics that other clubs have built in. On the other hand; Yes, we have a structure and officers, a club cannot truly function or exist without it.  Our club and its regular membership have no clubhouse, no monthly dues, no mandatory meetings and no obligations on when you ride or who you ride with! Our members are supposed to have fun riding. Ride with like-minded people, hang out together and enjoy life. We come together because we want to. We are neutral and do not claim territory.

As it has been said, "It is the man who makes the man... not the color of his patch or the club he belongs to. Brotherhood should not stop at your club patch."
I want to continue the legacy of my grandfathers and fathers by honoring the memory of those who fought and died for our freedom.
Sacred Bones Society is to create an environment where anyone who loves to ride on two wheels can be a part of it. For those who want to leave the drama at home, ride and have fun together. Support our military and veterans; Remember those who served and gave everything for our freedom. The freedom that our ancestors created for us, to be free, to choose. To pursue, promote and protect the interests of motorcyclists. To be able to ride among others, and at the same time have our own freedom. However, remembering that in crossing a few sections our rights of way have attracted the attention of other clubs, it is important to know where you are riding. We respect all clubs in the hope that we will receive the same respect in return. "Why drive a car and watch nature pass by when you can ride a motorcycle and cut right through the middle of it?"

"Live to ride and ride to live"

Sacred Bones Society MC

Come and ride

Sacred Bones MC was created out of our natural individual inability to fit into traditional motorcycle clubs. Gramp simply wanted to create a club that anyone could join, no politics, no leaders, no rules; just show up and ride. He simply wanted to enjoy life, ride freely, and at the same time, he wanted to create a motorcycle club that was different from others. A club that didn't require anything from its members other than the desire to ride motorcycles and have fun.
